Beattie Back to his Winning Ways in the Wall’s Ford Spring Board 100

N. Woodstock, NH — Plenty of fans and teams joined in to start their Memorial Day Weekend with a Saturday night showdown at White Mountain Motorsports Park. After struggling with a fuel issue in her heat race, Chloe Doyle kept pace with the front of the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division as Makenzi Sicard and heat winner Khloe Goodbout followed close behind. Cooper Benoit and Gracen Gorham made it a five-way fight for the top spot until Gorham, Sicard and Goodbout were collected in turn four to bring out the lone caution for a green-white-checker finish. In the finale, Chloe Doyle took down her first feature win at White Mountain over Benoit and Evan Folsom.

The two-wide stronghold broke apart by lap five in the 35-lap The Farmyard Store Flying Tiger feature with Nate Hamblett driving away with the lead as Owen Cheney and Shane Sicard gave chase. Sicard faced a mirror full of Kyle Willis with Willis motoring to the outside groove. Nate Hamblett would take down the win just ahead of Cheney at the line while a side-by-side battle for third saw Kyle Willis just edge Luke Peters for the third-place podium spot.

The Wall’s Ford Platinum Series began twenty-seven strong in the Wall’s Ford Spring Board 100 with Brandon Gray and Brian Hoar leading the field to green. The two fought doorhandle-to-doorhandle just before the lap three pile-up in turns three and four saw seven drivers flying from all sides to avoid. Back under green flag conditions, Gray and Hoar again showed the way while Kasey Beattie sliced his way through the top ten.

Throughout the midway of the 100 lapper Gray showed the fast way around while Beattie grew ever closer to his tail. With ten laps remaining Beattie cut underneath Gray for the lead and not even a green-white-checkered finish could deny Kasey Beattie the Spring Board 100 win. Brandon Gray held on for second while Justin Prescott made it home third overall.

Nate ‘Tater’ Brien launched from the outside pole to lead Tyler Thompson and JJ Goodbout at the start of the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Strictly Mini feature. After a good start rookie Lucas Sidney spun in turn one to bring out the lone caution with Tater once again taking off with the lead. Fellow Thunder Road invader Kyle MacAskill made his way into second on the restart with Jacob Roy also bouncing back from a rough start to third.

The Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models fought in twin twenty-lap segments Saturday night with two-time and defending champion Nick Miller taking the sweep to win both segments. Teammate Cody LeBlanc took second both times to come home second overall with Kodi Sabins taking third over Tyler Thompson.
