Annual Spring Board 100 Kicks off Wall’s Ford Platinum Series on Memorial Day Weekend
/N. Woodstock, NH — After a fantastic opening weekend, the 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models are ready to take center stage for the first time this season in the Spring Board 100! The 100-lap showdown kicks off the 2026 Wall’s Ford Platinum Series which once again looks to pit the weekly warriors of White Mountain Motorsports Park against all invaders for a chance at the mini-series championship.
After stealing the first win of the season in a 50-lap dogfight with youngsters Colin Cornell and Thomas Smithers, VI, Mike ‘Beetle’ Bailey is leading the 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Model standings but preparing for a wrench to be thrown in his plans. Saturday’s Wall’s Ford Platinum Series opener is a plus/minus handicap, with all drivers drawing for position rather than relying on their weekly handicap to set the field. With this in mind, the local teams are ready to take on all invaders who make the trip up to White Mountain for the extra-distance showdown.
Chandler Potter turned all heads in The Farmyard Store Flying Tigers last Saturday but can he run it back for a second win in as many Saturdays? That is something Kyle Willis, Cameron Ouellette and Shane Sicard will be looking to make impossible. With just a 35-lap sprint this week, we’ll see who stands tall in victory lane!
Jacob Roy was just one point away from the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Strictly Mini championship last September and has already cemented his place in the championship chase by winning the season opening event on Saturday. Roy may have the set-up down but after the likes of Thunder Road teams like Kyle MacAskill, Nate Brien and Jen Getty making the trip last week, it’s hard to tell just how heavy the competition may be this time around.
The Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division are back this weekend in a busy Memorial Day Weekend at White Mountain with their season-starter at Thunder Road the very next day! It was the feature race of HK Powersports Opening Weekend with eventual winner Gracen Gorham battling hard with Maddie Potter and Kaden Wimble throughout last week’s 15 lap main event, expect plenty of action this weekend for these youngsters at both tracks.
The Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models begin their season on Saturday with two-time and defending Mini Late Model champion Nick Miller looking to make it three-for-three with a good start this weekend.
White Mountain Motorsports Park is back in action with track championship racing this Saturday, May 23 with the Spring Board 100 for the 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models. Round One in the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series begins in earnest alongside the Farmyard Store Flying Tigers, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Strictly Minis, Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division and Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models with a 6:00pm Post Time!
