Strictly Minis Take Center Stage in Bar Harbor Bank 50-Lapper Saturday at White Mountain
/N. Woodstock, NH — After The Farmyard Store Flying Tigers and 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models have both had their time at the top of the heap, the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Strictly Minis take center stage this Saturday at White Mountain Motorsports Park. The popular four-cylinder class is ready to take down 50 laps on the highbanks in the longest distance of the season!
Jacob Roy holds a slim margin over Thunder Road invader Nate ‘Tater’ Brien after the Williamstown, Vermonter took down his first win of the season last Saturday. What started off as a just-for-fun pair of outings may turn into a championship run for Tater this week while rumor has it he won’t be the only one. Fellow Williamstown driver Kyle MacAskill has set a goal of thirty-races between Thunder Road and White Mountain this summer while the ACT Office has heard about several Thunder Road masters looking to make the trip over the Kancamagus Highway this Saturday for some extra-distance action.
Kasey Beattie holds a three point lead in the 1764 Sports Bar & Grill standings after taking the Spring Board 100 last Saturday. Ten-time champion Quinny Welch is just three points back and looking for number eleven this year while young up-and-comer Colin Cornell is having the best start of his career in third overall. Back to a 50-lap distance this weekend it’s anyone’s guess who will end up in victory lane!
After fighting a bout with kidney stones early Saturday morning, Nate Hamblett ended the day with a checkered flag in hand for The Farmyard Store Flying Tigers but still chases Kyle Willis atop the standings. Willis is also having the best start of his young career with two victory lane visits and looks to take win number one this Saturday, if Chandler Potter, Shane Sicard and Cameron Ouellette have nothing to say about it.
The Caulder Construction Dwarf Cars, Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division and the White Mountain Crown Vics also return to action this week. Jason Wyman once again proved that he’s the Dwarf Car to beat last time out but keep an eye on Ethan Tyrrell and Jeff Ainsworth among the pack looking to knock Wyman off the top. All the Crown Vics are chasing opening day winner Frank Sweeney in the popular division while competition remains high in the Kids Division after Gracen Gorham and Chloe Doyle have split the first two events.
