Late Model 20-20 Shootout and King of the Kids Highlight Friday’s Championship Festivities

Woodstock, NH — Mother Nature looks to have other plans this Saturday and Sunday but White Mountain Motorsports Park is staying one step ahead, opting to move the 2026 Championship Night to Friday, September 25 with a 6:00pm Post Time! The 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models will crown the 2026 King of the Mountain along with the return of the 20-20 Shootout, the King of the Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division presented by C.W. Gray & Sons Auctioneers plus championship showdowns for The Farmyard Store Flying Tigers, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Strictly Minis, Caulder Construction Dwarf Cars and Crown Vics!

Quinny Welch is looking for his eleventh 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Model King of the Mountain championship and holds a 14-point lead ahead of Kasey Beattie going into Friday’s season close-out. While Kyle Goodbout and Colin Cornell remain mathematical possibilities, they may have their sights set more so on the return of the 20-20 Shootout!

An exclusive invitational for those who have competed in at least 80% of weekly White Mountain events, the 20-20 Shootout returns in 2026 with Segment One set by the re-figured weekly handicap following the championship feature and Segment Two set by inverting the finish in the first 20-lapper. Once again, a $2,400 purse will be paid to the top-five low-point drivers following Segment Two with the 20-20 Shootout Winner earning $1,000!

Groton, Vermont’s Luke Peters leads Montpelier, Vermont’s Cameron Ouellette by 51 points heading to the new Friday Night Lights Championship Night. Peters has barnstormed at White Mountain all season long, racking up eight wins in 14 events and will be in the hunt for #9 this Friday night. Owen Cheney, Shane Sicard, Mike Clark and Rookie of the Year Chris Moulton will be among those looking at their last chance for a White Mountain win this year.

Following the results in technical inspection two weeks ago, it is once again Tyler Thompson versus Jacob Roy in familiar territory on WMMP Championship Night. One year ago the two were separated by one point going into the crowning event when McKenna Merchant stole the show in the closing laps and they’re right back at it again in 2026. Thompson’s one-point lead over Roy will be what to watch during their 25-lap trophy dash as Thompson will have to drive up through the pack! The winner’s handicap from their last event will penalize Thompson to start no better than tenth on the grid as he looks to go all the way!

Ethan Tyrrell and Jeff Ainsworth are ready to put the Caulder Construction Dwarf Car championship to bed Friday night with Tyrrell leading Ainsworth by 15-points in the standings. The two have each secured one win and are each is looking for their first Caulder Construction Dwarf Car championship.

Frankie Sweeny and Ethan Williams are also staring down the barrel of a neck-and-neck title fight in the inaugural season of the White Mountain Crown Vics! Just seven points separate the two in White Mountain’s most fun division!

The King of the Kids is back with the help of C.W. Gray & Sons Auctioneers Inc. as the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division go for one more showdown at White Mountain. The annual King of the Kids spectacular has been all the rage with bragging rights and the season’s biggest trophies on the line this Friday night!

White Mountain Motorsports Park is back in action to crown the 2026 champions this Friday, September 25 with the final event of the season! The 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models will crown the 2026 King of the Mountain alongside all track championship events for The Farmyard Store Flying Tigers, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Strictly Minis, Caulder Construction Dwarf Cars, WMMP Crown Vics, the King of the Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division feature and the Late Model 20-20 Shootout with a special 6:00pm Post Time!

Pits open Friday at 2:00pm with Grandstands opening at 3:30pm. Adult General Admission is set at $15, Kids 6-12 are $5 and Children five and under are free! The Family Four Pack (two adults, two kids) will also be available for $30.
