Kyle Goodbout Dominates Passumpsic Bank Kancamagus 112 at White Mountain
/N. Woodstock, NH — The American-Canadian Tour family of tracks rounded out a perfect weather weekend with the Kancamagus 112 presented by CSV Motorsports and Passumpsic Bank at White Mountain Motorsports Park on Saturday.
The racing action began with the Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division feature that saw Kaden Wimble quickly launch ahead of the field. As the youngsters stretched out, Wimble’s lead went away with a near collision directly with the front stretch wall allowing Maddie Potter and Cameron Beattie to split the slowed #78 Mustang at the line. From then on it was all Madison Potter who nailed down her first career win in the Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division over Chloe Doyle and Gracen Gorham.
Both the NELCAR Legends and Bandolero divisions went caution free in their respective features. Chase Guillemette ran away with the 15-lap Bandolero feature while Chase MacKay did the same in the Legend cars. Former 2026 winners Jake Kelly and Dave Stone III rounded out the Legends podium.
Rookie Chris Moulton showed the way early but multi-time Farmyard Store Flying Tiger champion Shane Sicard made his way around on the highside. Mike Clark and Kyle Willis battled doorhandle-to-doorhandle for second with Luke Peters in tow as Sicard stretched his lead. Chris LaForest brought out the lone caution at the halfway point with a spin in his new ride, leaving Sicard at the mercy of Willis and Peters. Luke Peters rounded both of them and ran away in the latter half of the race winning his fifth event of the season over Willis and Clark.
Brett Rowell and Tyler Thompson led the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Strictly Minis to green, holding a side-by-side battle at the front throughout the opening circuits. After finally breaking the stalemate, Thompson stretched his lead as Rowell had a mirror full of Donnie Baumgardner, Jacob Roy and rookie Lucas Sidney. The four car battle went sideways in the final corner with Rowell going sideways, making contact with Sidney and Roy in a chain-reaction wreck into the turn four tire wall. Tyler Thompson earned the win out front with Donnie Baumgardner and Jackson Hunt sneaking through the wreck to round out the podium.
The 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models rounded out Saturday’s racing action with the Kancamagus 112 as the final test and tune prior to next Saturday's Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250. Rising star Hayden Bushey earned the pole position in plus/minus handicap qualification with Kyle Goodbout to his outside. Goodbout proved the outside groove works as he fought hard to keep control through several slam-bang cautions that opened the second round of the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series event.
Throughout the caution slowdowns, Goodbout proved the car to beat against Bushey, Justin Prescott, Kasey Beattie and Brandon Gray among the top runners. Jesse Swister joined the chat at the halfway point running third behind Beattie and Goodbout in preparation for the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour visit next week. Through all the trials and tribulations, Kyle Goodbout laid claim to the Kancamagus 112 victory with Jesse Switser motoring around Kasey Beattie to round out the Passumpsic Bank podium.
White Mountain Motorsports Park is back in a big way next Saturday for the 9th annual Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 with $10,000 going to the winner of the epic Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour event! Teams from across the region are expected to go for the prize alongside The Farmyard Store Flying Tigers, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Strictly Minis, Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division and the NELCAR Tour Legends with a special 5:00pm Post Time.
