N. Woodstock, NH — With over 60 cars in the pit area ready to open White Mountain Motorsports Park for the 30th time, Mother Nature had different plans. An hour away from the 6:00pm Post Time, dark clouds closed in on all fronts before streaks of lightning flashed atop the mountains and the sound of thunder flooded our little valley below. Monsoon rains soon followed and even after a short window allowed us to dry the track, a larger cell of rain and lightning moved back in forcing management to cancel the night’s program.

N. Woodstock, NH — It’s T-Minus 24-hours till the gates open for White Mountain Motorsports Park’s (WMMP) 30th Season Opening doubleheader weekend on Saturday May 14 and Sunday May 15. Along with the five weekly divisions, the Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models will make their debut as will the New England Supermodified Series in their first ever event. After years of performing various duties at Connecticut’s Stafford Speedway and New London-Waterford Speedbowl, New York’s Riverhead Raceway, Lee USA Speedway, the Modified Racing Series and the INEX Legends National Championship series, Tapley joined the Thunder Road operational staff last season.

Wall’s Ford Title Sponsor for New Late Model Platinum Series

Woodstock, NH — White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP) officials are excited to announce longtime members of the New England racing community, Wall’s Ford of Salisbury, Massachusetts, has signed on to sponsor a new three-race Late Model series in 2022. With the agreement, the Platinum Series for Late Models presented by Wall’s Ford includes the May 28th Spring Board 100, the July 23rd New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 100 and the Platinum Series championship night on September 10th alongside the Northeast Mini Stock Tour (NEMST). A $1,500 point fund is at stake for the top three with $750 going to the champion, $500 to the runner-up and $250 for bronze.

The inaugural run for this new division will be in conjunction with the Northeast Mini Stock Tour (NEMST) in more ways than one. By utilizing the same rules package and scheduling on off weekends from the Tour, the Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models will feature a diverse class of drivers from across Northern New England who each have the chance to chase a separate championship at a track many have listed as one of their favorites.
