Bright sunshine and the roar of motorcycles in the mountains set the stage for the Father's Day weekend events at White Mountain Mortorsports Park. The color of the day was green as the cautions were few and far between.
The Beacon Resort Strictly Streets feature went green to checkers despite a few drivers finding their way into the infield. Jody Sicard (49), qualifier winner earlier in the day, jumped out to an early lead as Steve Parker (09) and Alex Kelley (27) went to the outside, cleared traffic and reeled in Sicard midway through the race. At the finish line it was Parker taking the checkered flag with Kelley in second and Sicard third.
The Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis also went green to checkers as qualifier winner Sean Akers (90) battled hard to stay out front during the early going. Stephen Denio (27) worked his way under Akers for the lead and kept it until the end, taking the feature event. Ernie Snider (5) finished right behind Denio in second with a hard charging Opie Thayer (4) in third.
The HK Powersports Kids Truck division feature saw Michael Lloyd (22) take the early lead until the red flag came out as Logan Oliver (26) and Nick Willis (43) rolled their trucks midway through the event along the front stretch. Both drivers were unhurt and managed to come back out to find qualifier winner Lucas Wheeler (16) leading the pack. Wheeler went on to take the checked flag followed by Jordan Fornwalt (24) in second and Lloyd in third.
The NAPA Late Models feature had a couple of early cautions but wen t on a long run, quickly streching the field all the way around the track. After winning both his qualifier and the Semi Feature, Tyler Alati (36) was leading the way until lap traffic became a factor. Quinny Welch (78) worked his way up and around Alati and quickly cleared the slower cars, stretching out his lead. Todd Aldrich (17) and Brock Davis (47) put on a hard fought battle for the third place spot thru lap traffic. Welch went on to win the main event with Alati second and Aldrich third.
