Weather captures third win, Huge 4th of July racing weekend on tap at White Mountain Motorsports Park
The weather forecast for the North Woodstock area brought out the red flag and a stoppage of the racing events scheduled for Saturday evening at the famed quarter mile speed plant. The Avery family has set their sights on the upcoming fourth of July racing weekend, as NAPA Auto Parts and R&R Fireworks present the NAPA 100.
The festivities will begin on Friday night July 5th from 3PM to 8PM, with an open practice for all divisions, including the Kids Truck division. Danny Walker will be on hand to continue to work with the speedway’s youngest drivers. The pit gates will be closed by 8:30 PM in preparation for the following day’s activities. (fireworks) Cost of admission will be just $10 for licensed drivers and crew members and $15 for non-licensed. There is no cost for the grandstands.
On Saturday night July 6th, the action is taken to a different level as a few outside invaders try to take on WMMP’s best. The Napa Late Model division races a 100 lap feature for a $1500 to win payday. WMMP has also added its Twisted Tea Dwarf car division to the nights activities in a non-points race. Included on the race card will be the White Mountains Community College Tiger/Sportsman, Kingdom Trailer Strictly Stocks, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Minis, and the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Truck division. Pit gates open at 2 PM, practice at 4 PM and racing at 6 PM.
At the conclusion of the racing events, everyone present will settle in and watch the brilliant fireworks display on behalf of WMMP and R&R Fireworks. Truly a night of racing and celebration that is second to none.
