The Napa Late Models rolled on to the high banks for a big 75-lap feature, part of the New England Dodge Dealers series. It was one of those races were fans only needed the edge of their seats. Though out the 75-lap feature paint and positions were swapped left and right. Blinking meant you missed some of the action. Brian Mason led a good portion of the race even going side by side with Stacy Cahoon for awhile, but was surpassed by the points leader, Rick Thompson Jr. of Newport, Vermont. Randy Potter of Groveton, New Hampshire and Russell Clark of Littleton both joined Thompson in victory lane with second and third place finishes. Pete Potvin III came in fourth and Dennis Phelps in fifth.
In Beacon Resort Strictly Stock division, it was Steven Parker II's night. Parker from West Burke, Vermont started off his night with a win in the second qualifying heat. Then after a battle to the finish he brought home his 4th checkered flag of the season with this 25-lap feature. Tom Keith of Pike, New Hampshire chased Parker home with a second place finish and points leader Toby Peters of Groton, New Hampshire came in third. Todd Goodness made his first appearance of the season driving the 00 car, which came in fourth and David Baron Sr. in fifth.
Daryl Smith of Groton, New Hampshire made a quick jump to the front of the field early in the Gilmour Jeep/Ford/Dodge Super Streets feature, which was 30 laps of door handle to handle racing. Once Smith got to the front, there was no looking back. Matthew LeBlanc of Berlin, New Hampshire made a nice run for the checkers with a second place victory, Bernie Lantagne of McIndoe Falls, Vermont in third, and Tim Casey and Tim Churchill in fourth and fifth.
The Hobo Hills Adventure Golf Kids Truck division ran a pair of features last Saturday night. In the rookie class, Mac McDuffie from Salisbury, New Hampshire was victorious over Danny Lang from Alton Bay and Bruce Melendy of Danville, Vermont. Shawn Swallow finished in fourth and Dan LeGault rounded out the top five. The second feature saw Joshua Cantara, of Alfred, Maine, bringing home the checked flag. Aaron Ricker of Tamworth and Patrick Burt of Lunnenberg, Vermont ended in second and third. Jeremy Davis and Jared Martel chased the others home in fourth and fifth.
The Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Mini's hit the track for a 20-lap feature with some great racing. When all was said and done, it was Josh Santy in first, Opie Thayer in second, Richard Shifflett of Littleton, New Hampshire in third, T. J. Ingerson in fourth and Les Washburn with a fifth place finish.
And the True Value Modified Racing Series was in town for the second time this season with a 100-lap Green Flap feature. It was the RSD Transportation 100. After having some bad luck in the past the Modified Racers put on a great show with Peter Daniels of Lebanon, New Hampshire picking up his third win of the season. Donnie Lashua of Canaan, New Hampshire tried to reel in Daniels with heavy lapped traffic on the track. Lashua ended with a second place finish. Dwight James of Ascutney, Vermont came in third, Kirk Alexander in fourth and Jim Boniface scored a fifth place finish.
