Tonight everyone has a little extra fun as we held four divisions of kids bike racing here at White Mountain Motorsports Park. First up was the five year old and younger. They started off at the beginning of the homestretch and only had to cross the finish line. Some intripid racers were not satisfied with that and continued on into turns one and two and down the back stretch. Quite amusing but the outcome was still the same. Coming in third was Lucas McKensie, second place went to Devin Snider and first place was won by Colby Jones.
The second kids race was the six and seven year olds. They started in the middle of turn three and four and raced to the finish line. Coming in third was Jacob Brown, second was Neil Noseworthy and first place went to Jackson Boucher.
In the third race was the eight and nine year olds. They raced from the back stretch to the finish line. Coming in third was Dylan Lamson, Second Place was Keine Marland and taking the checkers was Wesley Auelio.
The fourth and final race were the ten, eleven and twelve year olds. Dakota Laflam finished third, Frankie Evans took second and the win went to Cooper Grace.
Being that it was a night for the kids, the HK Powersports Kids Truck Division saw much better action tonight then last week. The qualifier went off without a hitch with Alex Ferno taking third, Dereck Stone second and Cameron Ouellette finished first sporting a new number this week. Ouellette changed his number to 90 from the number 25. The feature race also went very well, with Alex Ferno again finding his way into third place. Cameron Ouellette returned for a second place rally and finishing first was Lucas Wheeler.
The Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Mini division saw Rubin Call place third, Kyle Willis placed second and Opie Thayer finished first. At the conclusion of the 20 lap feature we saw Allan Young find his way back into victory lane with a third place finish, Opie Thayer fought a good fight but had to settle for second against Rubin Call who held his own and won the feature.
The Beacon Resort Strictly Stocks held their own 25 lap feature that saw some hard fought action. In the qualifier we saw David Baron Sr. place third, Tom Keith second and Steve Parker take the checkers. Then at the feature we had Steve Parker place third, Mike Davis make it into second and David Baron lead the race all the way to the end, taking the win.
The Shuttle Connection Super Streets had some awesome action, with Tim Churchill getting himself into third, Gerald Griswold took second and Tyler Alati took the checkers. Tyler's car showing that it is currently for sale, for anyone who might be interested. The feature race had plenty of action with Cam Clairmont taking third. Leading for the first 22 laps was Derek Ohern who set a blistering pace, but at lap 22 came former track champion Tim Churchill. He managed a pass and pulled off a win and Ohern had to settle for second.
The NAPA Late Models performed very well tonight. The first qualifier had Travis Fadden in third, Will Avery in second and Ben Lynch in first. The next qualifier saw Brett Clairmont finish third, Quinten Welch second and Dan Colby first. The Third and final qualifier had Jeremy Welch placing third, Bernie Lantangne second and Glenn Martel first. The Semifeature had Quinten Welch finishing third, Jeremy Welch in Second and Ben Lynch first. That meant that Ben Lynch was poised to win a triple crown going into tonight's fifty lap feature event, however there were three other drivers that had other plans. Quinten Welch managed a clever move at the final two laps to claim third away from Orin Remick. Second place went to Dan Colby who held his own but didn't have enough to challenge Glenn Martel who walked away with the win here tonight.
WMMP Mid-season NAPA 100 will be held next week with a special payout throughout the field. Special rates for next weeks' gate will be $15 for adults and $2 for kids. All race results are unofficial based on drivers' vehicles passing tech inspection at the end of the night.
