Being that 2011 marks his tenth year behind the wheel of a NAPA late model sportsman, Tyler Cahoon is poised for the 2011 season and is ready to make some more noise in the NAPA late model sportsman standings at White Mountain Motorsports Park. With a new motor under the hood and the experience gained from the 2010 season, counting out the St. Johnsbury native could be a big mistake.

Sometimes it is sad that changes have to be made but with the economy the way it is and how the world has changed, Kerry and Richard Brown from RSB Chassis can not support us this year with their parts trailer at the race track.

With the sun going down sooner, the temperature plummeting and the leaves beginning to change color the racing was once again fierce and competitive at the White Mountain Motorsports Park. Not only are there still many points battles to be settled, but the Pro All-Star Series was in town to settle their points championship as well, with their last race of the season.

North Woodstock, NH-With an astounding 6th win in what has been called one of the most competitive late model shows in the region Quinny Welch punched his ticket to and will be the representative for WMMP at the 2nd annual ACT Invitational at NHMS in Loudon NH. After what could have been a devastating finish last week, Welch and the #78 Local Linemen 104 team hit all their marks this week, They did the three things they needed to do, they won the race, got the Invitational nod and extended the points lead. It is the knowledge and dedication of his crew coupled with his own quick thinking and skill on the race track that has propelled this team to the top, kept them there and keeps them pulling away. With WMMP racing on a Friday night next week, this team has a tough row to hoe. If any team can do it, it's this one. They simply need to keep doing what they have all year and they could come out of it one of the year's biggest winners.

North Woodstock, NH-With only 3 points counting events remaining on the schedule at White Mountain Motorsports Park, the five late model drivers at the top of the point standings are locked in a battle that is more than likely to go down to the wire again this year. On top and struggling to maintain the points lead is Quinney Welch, while Travis Fadden sits in fifth and is the last person with a mathematical chance at the championship. These are the contenders, these are their strengths and weaknesses going into the final three events. Pick your winner folks!!

After starting mid-pack and overcoming a hard fought battle, Oren Remick came out on top to score his first NAPA LMS victory of the season. With just six points counting events left it was no holes barred racing at the front. After a caution for a minor spin on lap 17, the restart saw 4-wide action coming out of the second turn, and then again 3 wide action off turn four and down the frontstretch, on lap 34, neither of which brought out another caution flag. Remick worked over eventual second place finisher Ben Lynch looking for a hole for more than ten laps before hooking it high in turn one and powering his way around to the point. Third place finisher Tyler Cahoon was coming on strong to take that second spot, but the laps wound down and the checkers flew before he could gain his momentum.

The weather this weekend was great at White Mountain Motorsports Park. We had five divisions of racing PLUS the New England Antique Racers with both Sportsman and Modified cars here to put on a great show for the crowd. We also needed to have a make-up race for the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Mini division from a couple of weeks back, so there was plenty of racing to enjoy tonight.

Racing action was going pretty smooth tonight, with qualifiers running like clockwork going right into feature events. Then a slight glance over the left shoulder and you could tell it was not going to last. Rain moved in from the Notch and that pretty much ruined the track condition. With the high humidity in the air, even after the rain stopped, the track was lost. Some racing action did take place, so here is what happened.
