CAHOON DOUBLES UP AT WMMP
FIRST TIME IN 31 YEARS HE’S WON BACK TO BACK FEATURES
It was a good night, no, great night for the St. Johnsbury, Vermont native Stacy Cahoon, as he scored the Late Model victory, his second in a row on Caron Fabrication night at White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, New Hampshire.

Cahoon grabbed the lead on lap 32 in the Foley Oil & Propane Late Model 50 lap event, and then held off a torrid challenge from point leader Quinney Welch to secure the victory. Richie Brown was looking strong in his bid for the Triple Crown after cruising to victory in his heat and the bonus point semi-feature. He held the lead past the half-way mark before retiring to the pits with mechanical problems. Cahoon took over the point and raced pretty much unchallenged until with two laps to go, Welch made his patented bonsai challenge but came up about 3/4 of a car length short and settled for second place. Stephen Donahue placed third ahead of Oren Remick and Matt Morrill. Finishing 6th through 10th were Peyton Lanphear, Paul Newcomb, Scott Corey, Dave Lebrecque and Allison Menard. A jubilant Cahoon stated in victory lane that he reached a milestone in his career tonight that has spanned over 31 years, and that was tonight became the first time he had ever won two consecutive features. Paul Newcomb and Richie Brown won their respective qualifiers and Brown won the semi-feature.

Justin Eldridge raced by Shane Sicard just past the flagstand on lap 19 and cruised to victory in the Wells River Chevrolet Tigers 30 lap main event. Sicard held on for second spot, and the youngster Kaleb Rogers edged out Steve Heitz for the podium third place finish. Evan Amour completed the top five. Sicard also won the qualifying heat.

Adam Sicard dusted the field in the big 30 lap feature for the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Mini's. Sicard got to the front early and never looked back. Nate Walton edged out Dustin Jackson for the runner-up spot, while Donald Judd and James Stone completed the top five. Dustin Jackson and Colby Bourgeois carried checkers in the heat races.

Tyler Thompson dominated the Dad's 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Truck division feature as he raced by Owen Boucher at the half-way mark and rolled home to an easy victory. Boucher was second ahead of Luke Peters, Owen Rogers and Jillian Baumgardner. Boucher won his heat race.

Andy Hill blistered the field in the Bank of New Hampshire Dwarf Car main event, as he easily dusted Tommy Smithers, Norm Forest, Jeff Ainsworth and Beany O'Hare. Smithers won the preliminary round.

Racing action resumes this coming Saturday night, July 28th at 6pm as the Granite State Pro Stock Series invades WMMP for a 100 lap main event. They will be joined by the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models, Wells River Chevrolet Tigers, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Mini's and the Dad's 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Truck division. The Bank of New Hampshire Dwarf Cars have the night off.
