A beautiful night for racing at WMMP! The night started off with a huge crowd of kids for the Kids Pit Tour. The youngsters were excited to meet the drivers, see the cars up close and personal, get autographed pictures, candy, and several drivers even raffled off kids bicycles. Hayley Corum won a few hot laps around the 1/4 mile oval with Napa Late Model Driver Bernie Langtane.

The Twisted Tea Dwarf Cars ran 3 different segments. Each segment sponsored by someone different, each segment winner recived $100 dollar cash bonus on the front stretch. Wells River Chevy Tigers always a great intense race to watch. Tough break for the #9 of Matt Morrill as he worked his way about half way through the field when he was shown the black flag for fluid spilling out the right rear. After several laps Morrill didn't exit the racetrack, so the caution flag flew and several drivers including Steve Heitz and Kaleb Rogers spun on the front stretch. A scary moment under the same caution flag as the #64 of James Capps was sitting atop pit road waiting to rejoin the field when his car went up in steam as his radiator exploded. Luckily Capps was ok. The battle up front intense, as the top 6 cars were under a blanket for several laps. The finish was a wild one as more than 5 cars went spinning across the finish line. Once the craziness calmed down, and the scorers came to a top 3 finish we saw the #4 of Shane Sicard take home the first place trophy. 2nd place went to the #74 Justin Eldridge, it's been a while since we have seen this gentlemen in victory lane and rounding out the top 3 was the #5 of Derrick Calkins.
