DONAHUE GOES BACK TO BACK AT WMMP
A jam packed grandstand saw race fans take advantage of one of the 25th Anniversary promotions at White Mountain Motorsports Park powered by the Autosaver Group in 2018. This special night allowed all race fans to get a $5 admission ticket, and the Bank of New Hampshire passed out special Frisbees as well. Winners on the night included Stephen Donahue, John Donahue, Keri Sicard, Bobby Brown and Tyler Thompson.

Stephen Donahue made it two in a row in the Foley Oil and Propane Late Models as he spoiled Richie Brown's triple crown bid, and then held off a late race challenge from Quinney Welch to secure the victory. Brown led the first 25 laps before a caution waved when Stacy Cahoon coasted to a halt in turn four. A couple more cautions slowed the event as the top five were Donahue, Welch, Oren Remick, Brown and rookie Matt Morrill. Brown and Scott Corey won the qualifying rounds.

John Donahue was not going to let his son Stephen show him up on this night as he cruised to victory in the Wells River Chevrolet Tigers. Last week's winner Shane Sicard rolled home second followed by Justin Eldridge, Steve Heitz and Christian Laflamme. Eldridge failed post race inspection and was DQ'd, thus moving Heitz up to third, Laflamme to fourth, and Kaleb Rogers to fifth. Donahue won the lone qualifier.

Keri Sicard grabbed the lead from Brett Jackson with five laps to go and cruised to her first win of the year in the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Mini's. Jackson hung on for second while Donald Judd, Adam Sicard and Scott Senecal rounded out the top five. Brett Jackson and Donald Judd claimed qualifying checkers.

"Downtown" Bobby Brown overcame troubles in his qualifier and held off a determined race long challenge by Andy Hill to carry the checkers in the Bank of New Hampshire Dwarf Cars. Tommy Smithers, Norm Forrest and Jeff Ainsworth completed the top five. Hill won his heat race.

Tyler Thompson once again easily outdistanced the field in the Dad's 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Trucks. Owen Rogers, Jillian Baumgardner, Luke Peters and Ryan Bevins followed Thompson to the finish. Thompson also grabbed the win in the preliminary round.

WMMP will be back in action on Saturday, June 16th as they will host a four division card of racing. The night will feature the Foley Oil and Propane Late Models, Wells River Chevrolet Tigers, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Mini's, and Dad's 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Trucks. The Bank of New Hampshire Dwarf Cars will have the night off. Post time is 6pm.
