Oren Remick the Late Model Winner

May 21st was a wonderful night of racing. The Granite State Pro Stock Series invaded the mountain and ended the evening with a 100 lap feature. We got through qualifying rather smoothly, but the fans were on their feet for a lot of the feature events.

The youngsters in the Dad 4 By Toll and Supply kids truck division continue to show there growth in driving abilities building from week to week. The Front 3 trucks ran side by side. Robbie Gordon Douglas #27 working his way through traffic to make his way to the top spot.

The following feature was 30 laps of edge of your seat, on your feet kind of racing as the Well River Chevy Tigers took to the 1/4 mile high banks. It took several caution flags, keeping our infield/speedy dry crew busy cleaning up, keeping the track safe. Matt Morrill of Moultonborough, Nh drove his #9 Chevy Monte Carlo machine sponsored by ABC Services and TNT Cleaning through traffic, through restart after restart to capture his first win of the season. The Driscoll Motorsports, JP Sicard Chevy Impala was drove to a 2nd place finish by the #4 of Shane Sicard from Barton, VT. On the restarts he would quickly maintain his lead, bringing him to be the first in line to see the checkered flag. Last on the card for the regular 5 WMMP divisions would be the Napa Late Models. This definitely did not seem like 50 laps as the top 4 cars battled door handle to door handle, bumper to bumper lap after lap keeping the fans on the edge of their seats. Oren Remick, Quinny Welch, Mike Jurkowski, and Bernie Lantagne put on one of the best shows seen in a very long time, these gentlemen bumped, leaned on each other and raced hard with each other lap after lap. No caution flag was needed as they gave each other the room needed and back out of it when need be. When the battling was done "Flooring" Oren Remick out of Warner, NH would capture the win in his proudly sponsored Chevy Impala Promis, Lake Side Auto machine. The Truants Tavern/ Hiltz Excavating Chevy Impala was wheeled to a 2nd place finish by the #78 of Quinny Welch from Lancaster, NH. Bernie Lantagne drove his car to a solid 3rd place finish in the Mr.Pizza, Marty's 1ST stop sponsored automobile.
